# Supported Venues

View the trading venues available in Matrix.

### Overview

Matrix is a software interface. It does not operate an exchange, order book, matching engine or custody service. All trading, execution and settlement are performed by third-party venues under their own rules, using each venue's publicly documented APIs.

Matrix has no commercial partnership, revenue-sharing agreement or contractual relationship with any venue beyond the standard public builder and integrator programs described below. Any user can access the same venues directly without Matrix. Matrix uses builder programs solely for attribution, and does not charge any additional fees.

Trading availability varies by region and venue. See [Geographic Restrictions](https://docs.trymatrix.xyz/overview/geographic-restrictions) and [Restricted Region](https://docs.trymatrix.xyz/overview/geographic-restrictions/restricted-region) for more information.
