# Geographic Restrictions

### Statement on distribution

Matrix's trading functionality is made available only in countries and regions where the underlying venues (Hyperliquid, Orderly Network, Polymarket) permit access under their published terms.

Matrix does not circumvent any venue's jurisdictional controls, and does not offer or promote its services in any jurisdiction where doing so would be unlawful.

### App availability

The Matrix app is not distributed on the following App Store or Google Play storefronts:

* United Kingdom
* Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia
* The Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine
* Any other jurisdiction subject to comprehensive OFAC sanctions

Matrix additionally blocks app access from IP addresses in these jurisdictions.

### Trading availability

Trading, deposits and transfers are restricted on a per-venue basis. Restrictions are enforced in two layers:

1. Venue API controls. Each venue rejects order submissions originating from jurisdictions it restricts. Matrix relies on and does not bypass these controls.
2. Matrix regional restrictions. Matrix independently disables trading, deposits and transfers for the affected venue when a user is located in a restricted region, and displays a Restricted region notice. See [Restricted Region](/overview/geographic-restrictions/restricted-region.md).

Users in a restricted region can still install the app, view markets, and withdraw previously deposited funds.

#### United States

Trading, deposits and transfers are not available to persons located in the United States on any supported venue. All three venues exclude US persons under their terms.

#### Venue-specific restrictions

Each venue maintains its own list of restricted jurisdictions, which may change without notice. Current lists:<br>

Where a venue's restrictions are broader than Matrix's, the venue's restrictions apply.
