# Security

### Open Security

Open ![](/files/fRkkNWDeMtYQAMJMuCl6) Home from the bottom navigation and tap the ![](/files/iwU6oRxDySV5ZmEJ5S4l)profile icon in the top-left corner.

From the profile screen, select Security.

### Enable Biometric Unlock

Select Biometrics. Matrix shows the biometric method available on your device, such as Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint.

Turn on the biometric switch and complete the verification.

When biometric unlock is enabled, Matrix locks after the selected period of inactivity and requires verification to continue. To disable it, turn off the switch and verify again.

### Set Auto-Lock

Select Auto-Lock, then choose when Matrix should lock after inactivity:

* After 1 minute
* After 5 minutes
* After 15 minutes

Auto-Lock applies when biometric unlock is enabled. After Matrix locks, complete biometric verification to return to the app.

### Review Recent Security Activity

Select Recent Login History to open your security activity.

The screen records:

* Account logins and logouts
* App locks
* Successful and failed unlock attempts
* Biometrics being enabled or disabled

Each entry shows the activity, time, authentication method, device and status. Only activity recorded on this device appears here.
